Judge Dan Waldron has spent a lifetime in public service, both professionally and as a volunteer with both community-based service and charitable organizations and as a Police Officer and Emergency Medical Technician.
Judge Waldron is a graduate of Fordham University, one of the nation's top institutions of higher education, where he earned a place on the Dean's List for Academic Achievement. The major focus of his academic career was in the study of American Government and Constitutional Rights and Liberties.
Dan joined the New York City Police Department in 1987 where his legal training continued. He received advanced instruction in the Police Academy in areas such as the New York Penal Law and Criminal Procedural Law. After a successful 20 year career, he retired as a Sergeant in 2007, having gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in legal matters such as the rules of evidence, witness testimony, and the laws of arrest.

Dan and his wife had both been coming upstate since they were kids to enjoy all that the region has to offer. They have many close friends that live in the area and they knew that this was where they wanted to live and raise a family when Dan retired from the NYPD. After looking at homes, towns and schools throughout the area, they decided to move to the Town of Saratoga in 2009.
When a vacancy opened in the Saratoga Town Court in 2014, some respected leaders in the town who knew of his extensive law enforcement background approached Dan about filling the seat. He won the election and was sworn into office on January 1st, 2015.
"I have been honored to serve the residents of the Town of Saratoga, and I believe that I have served them well, administering justice with integrity, fairness, and common sense. I appreciate the support that I have received and hope to continue to serve for another four years".
